Q: I have heard a lot about health and safety, can you give me some information?
A: Due to the nature of the environment, health and safety is a huge subject onboard. Upon arrival, you will be introduced with all necessary safety procedures onboard. Weekly life boat drill will help you understand the importance of this subject. If at any point you are unsure about certain safety procedures, do not hesitate and contact an officer in charge.

Q: What do I do in case of illness?
A: All cruise ships are well equipped with medical facilities. There are will be a qualified physician as well as other medical staff onboard in case of emergency.

Q: Who can I turn to in case of disagreements, problems, etc?
A: Depending on your position , you should turn to your department head  wit any questions you may have. Alternatively, arrange an appointment to see the crew purser. He/she is responsible for all matters concerning crew, staff and officers.

Q: What do I do in the evening, after working hour?
A: Most vessels are equipped with a range of crew facilities. Such as a crew bar, and gymnasium. If you are recruited in an officer position, you will most likely have additional  privileges. (i.e. usage of public areas , restaurants, bars)
